What the Dickens..?

I love Dickens. I got these for a special birthday. I like the amount of characters he uses. I was a bit worried at first,with the amount of people I had in my trilogy, 'The Harlequin Triangle '. However, I think if you make them larger than life, they are memorable and less likely to be confused with others. The feedback was positive and even those who thought they weren't going to get on with such a large cast, told me it hadn't been a problem at all. They liked the diversity of people and found themselves relating to some and getting angry with others - just as we do in life. I think I'm someone who gets easily bored because I found being able to swap from one character's story to another kept my interest as a writer. I wonder if Mr Dickens found the same.
